High Availability Cluster
I currently run two linked web servers. Each is in a separate data center, eliminating any common point of failure. The Los Angeles node is <1 ms from most Tier 1 carriers. You'd be hard-pressed to get better ping times anywhere in Southern California.
In the unlikely event that both of the server's dual internet feeds or dual separately-fed power supplies fail, an independent monitoring system automatically switches to the backup server within five minutes.
